What a Flux LoRA is, and which Flux it needs
A LoRA is a small add-on file that teaches a base model a style, an object or a look. It only works on the base it was made for.
FLUX.1 Dev (most LoRAs)
Dev is the model most Flux LoRAs are made for. Load them on a FLUX.1 Dev checkpoint.
FLUX.1 Krea Dev: Dev LoRAs load, colors may shift
FLUX.1 Krea [dev], from Black Forest Labs with Krea, uses the same architecture as FLUX.1 Dev, so Dev LoRAs load, though some shift its colors. A weight of about 0.6 to 0.8 is a good start. It is not Krea 2: see Krea 2 LoRAs.
Not compatible: FLUX.2 and Klein
FLUX.2 LoRAs are not compatible with FLUX.1 ones, in either direction. For those, see Flux.2 Klein and Dev LoRAs.
How big are Flux LoRAs?
In a sample of 50 popular Flux.1 D LoRAs on Civitai the median file was 73 MB, 96% were under 1 GB and the largest was 2,045 MB. The ModelTrends trending snapshot (13 LoRAs) had the same 73 MB median, from 18.4 MB to 584.4 MB. They are .safetensors files.

ComfyUI reads LoRAs from ComfyUI/models/loras/, Forge from webui/models/Lora/. One subfolder per family or base keeps things findable: loras/flux/. Then refresh the LoRA list.
Name files and keep trigger words
Name each file author-concept-version and keep its trigger words next to it, so you still know how to use it months later (how to install a LoRA, step by step).

Flux LoRA questions
- Do Flux LoRAs work with FLUX.2 or Klein?
- No. FLUX.2 LoRAs are not compatible with FLUX.1 ones, and the other way round. Use LoRAs made for the exact base you run.
- Do Flux Dev LoRAs work with FLUX.1 Krea Dev?
- Usually yes: Krea Dev shares Dev's architecture, so Dev LoRAs load, but some shift the colors. Try a lower weight (about 0.6 to 0.8).
- How big is a Flux LoRA?
